The heat pump would cool to 72 degrees the night before Neptune’s visit and up until about 11am on the day of their visit, and all days prior. After their 1pm visit the heat pump wouldn’t cool below 79 degrees at 10pm and it’s 83 outside.

It seems like your heat pump wasn’t able to keep up with the cooling demands — which, as we pointed out during our visit, might have something to do with your ductwork being undersized, uninsulated, and poorly sealed. No amount of magic from the heat pump is going to change that. But hey, we tried to give you a second opinion, so if you’re still having issues, maybe we can help you figure out a more permanent solution. Feel free to reach out if you want to talk more about fixing those ductwork issues once and for all.

On one of the hotter days this month one of my outdoor fan/coil/compressor units stopped working. I looked for a small company local to SE Virginia Beach area with good reputation and discovered Neptune Mechanical. Taylor and his helper somehow managed to came over the same day I called. Taylor quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed the unit (replaced capacitor). He was thorough in testing the repair to ensure all was good. I thought Taylor did an excellent job and did not try to sell me anything I did not need. I am very happy that I engaged this company and will continue to be their customer.
